Ultra wide band impulse radio(UWB-IR) transmission and its energy detection are effective to realize simple sensor network, wireless body area networks(BAN), etc. Under such network environments, simultaneous communication between many nodes is required and code division multiple access(CDMA) is one of the candidates of multiple access schemes. However, under multiple access situations, the degradation of bit error rate(BER) performance by the interference between users can to be avoided and the influence interference against the energy detection UWB-IR receiver is more severe than the coherent receivers. In this paper, optimization of the energy detection UWB-IR receiver is studied assuming multiple users access environments in order to further improve performance of the receiver.
