摘要

The optical parametric amplifier (OPA) plays an important role in the nonlinear optics and it can be used in weak image enhancement. In this paper, the image enhancement based on the OPA is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The high gain property is firstly introduced in weak optical image capture with frequency up-conversion from infrared to visible spectrum. Then the parametric fluorescence suppression of OPA is experimentally investigated to give better image quality. Thirdly, for the biological applications such as imaging in the turbid medium, the optical conjugation generation of during the three wave coupling process is used in image restoration with 17dB optical gain.
