Issues on Two-Layer Object Perception in the Process of Artificial Semiosis

This paper presents an early model of two-layer object perception for the process of artificial semiosis. Following from essential research on cognitive science, semiotics and process of semiosis an approach to capture the process of developing lexicon in a distributed multi-agent system is presented. It should be stressed that the presented research is still in its preliminary state and the presented ideas should be treated as strictly positioning. In particular, a two-layer object structure and accompanying lexicon structures are defined and elaborated. Further, typical scenarios of the semiosis process in this settings are discussed. Finally, an exemplar simulation results for one of the scenarios are presented.
