摘要

This paper addresses the electromagnetic torque calculation of 12/10 outer rotor type switched reluctance motor (SRM). It is demonstrated in this paper by the finite element method (FEM) based simulation results that the presented SRM with short path of the magnetic flux produces enough electromagnetic torque for this class of applications. This paper provides some interesting and informative insight into flux distribution, inductance and torque characteristics of SRM.
