The demands placed on hydrologic analyses have increased considerably in recent years. Hydrologic analyses involve numerous methods and are useful in many fields, such as agriculture, forestry and grassland farming. In order to catch information and knowledge from Digital Elevation Models (DEM), processing data step by step in software is available, which needs many manual workloads and is not convenient for the repetitive process. In order to accelerate the hydrologic process and facilitate reuse of components, scientific workflow systems can be leveraged. In this paper, the hydrologic analysis applies a scientific workflow approach for automatic discovery and widespread application. A scripting workflow engine in GeoJModelBuilder is extended to incorporate hydrologic models in GRASS, construct a hydrologic workflow and finally automate the whole hydrologic process.
