Feature Extraction Techniques for Aggressive and Nonaggressive Metabolic Conditions of Brain

摘要

The performance of two feature extraction techniques: Fractal Geometrical Technique (FGT) and Second-Order Statistical Technique (SST) are investigated by considering the biological structure of the human brain for brain tumors detection application. FGT provides features like lacunarity, differential box height, and average fractal dimensions; whereas, SST provides homogeneity and dissimilarity information of cells. The investigated results are compared with clinical results and the optimum features are obtained for the analysis of the results.
