In this paper a small size planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) is proposed which covers WiMAX (3.3-3.8 GHz) and WLAN (5.15-5.85 GHz) range. The antenna proposed in this paper has many advantages like compact size and wide operation bandwidth. The antenna portion has dimensions as 13.5 mm * 10 mm and the overall dimensions are 36 mm * 10 mm * 0.8 mm which can be easily implemented in USB dongle applications. The antenna is designed on RT Duroid 5880 Substrate. Simulation and measured results are presented and discussed.
