摘要

The algebraic derivative (AD) method is a signal differentiation technique suitable for a wide range of control problems. This paper studies the overlapping estimator implementation of the AD method using numerical analysis to determine its accuracy as a function of its parameters. A challenging case study is also presented - active magnetic bearings - that demonstrates the method's applicability to higher bandwidth systems than previously studied.
