1. Li(Fe_(1-x r))(P_(1-y)Si_y)PO_4 is the most promising candidate to suppress the volume change of LFP, as predicted by DFT 2. Single-phase LiFe_(1-x)Zr_xP_(1-2x)Si_(2x)O_4 can be synthesized by both sol-gel and solid-state methods 3. Excellent consistency was affirmed between calculation and actual measurement of volume change 4. Capacity retention increases with Zr and Si substitution 5. 89% of initial capacity can be retained after 10000 cycle with 2.5% substitution We confirmed that substitution of LiFePO_4 leads to ultra-long cycle life that has not been presented before, which offers great potential for energy storage.
