Investigation of Hypersonic Boundary-Layer Transition Using High-Speed Visualization Techniques

These results show the potential of optical/visualization-based measurement techniques for transition measurements in facilities such as HEG. Future work will focus on disturbance growth-rate measurements for comparison to stability computations as well as the application of these techniques to more challenging high-enthalpy conditions.
