In this paper, the problem of indirect measurement of quaternions is considered for aircraft guidance and control. The use of quaternions in the control and guidance systems helps to eliminate uncertainties in some modes of their operation and reduces the need of computional resources for their implementation. However, the measurement of quaternions is made using trigonometric transformations of the system orientation angles, which affects their accuracy. A method for indirect determination of the quaternion of the system orientation with high accuracy without using statistical methods of data processing is proposed. Simulations of some flight cases in MATLAB show the efficiency of the proposed mathematical description. The results of this paper can be used in aircraft guidance and control systems.
