During the last few years, airborne gravity surveys in Hard-to-Reach Regions are becoming important. Study is related both to exploration geophysics, as well as to basic research of the Earth's geopotential in these areas. The surveys in the polar areas of the Earth are of particular interest nowadays. This has led to the necessity to revise some hardware and algorithmic solutions for the airborne gravity instruments developed by different companies. This fact persuades the developers of GT-2A airborne gravimeter to redesign the equipment, because it is not possible to use standard equipment of the instrument at latitudes over ±75~0. This restriction is caused by hardware and firmware peculiarities of the instrument, first of all, by using gyroscopes with significantly different levels of accuracy. This restriction can be eliminated if data provided by the aircraft multiantenna GPS receiver is available. Usage of the multiantenna GPS receiver modifies real-time software of the instrument, and also induces the modification of the post-processing algorithms.
