Experiments and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) are used tostudy the effect of slat screens with 3 different solidity ratios Sn (theratio between solid area and total area of the screen under the meanfree-surface) on sloshing in a two-dimensional tank in finite waterdepth (h/l=0.4, h and l are the water depth and length of the tank).The steady-state responses of the waves and horizontal forces areanalyzed. The effect of solidity ratio on the natural/resonant frequencyof sloshing is addressed. In addition, the effect of initial conditions onthe steady-state results is also depicted.
