摘要

This paper presents an analytical methodology combined to acomputational modeling to assess overloads on a buried transmissionpipeline with or without a diffusion slab.In order to validate the methodology, tests have been performed with ahydraulic jack in the GDF SUEZ research laboratories dedicated totransmission pipelines. A discussion on the parameters of interest isprovided: diffusion, soil horizontal coefficient, slab bonded to an elasticfoundation, ovaling, bedding effect, stress evaluation, 2D-model for 3Dreal case, global conservatism of the model. For practical reasons, themethodology is coded in the in-house RAMCES software.Tests show good agreement with theory. This study belongs to theGRTgaz research and development procedure to make RAMCESsoftware recognized by regulatory authorities.
