A case study on soil improvement with dynamic compaction and dynamic replacement

In this paper, the soil improvement works which were performed for the foundation subsoil of the Eltas Transformer Factory in Aliaga, Turkey are given as a case study. In order to increase the bearing capacity of the foundations subsoil as well as to regulate the total and differential settlements in the entire area, Dynamic Compaction (DC) together with Dynamic Replacement (DR) were implemented.
