Research on the Utilization and Supply-Demand Relationship of Digital Resources from the Perspective of Discipline

Library digital resource construction is of great significance to discipline construction. Based on COUNTER reports, statistical analysis method and citation analysis method are applied in this paper to analyze the utilization of electronic journals from the perspective of discipline, as well as the supply-demand relationship. The paper compares the use of e-journals of Nanjing University with that of other universities. The result shows that electronic journals are not fully utilized. We suggest that academic libraries should keep up with the discipline development and digital resource utilization. The paper provides reference for the application of digital resource usage statistics.
