In this paper, an anti-saturation raw data compressing algorithm for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) based on Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DT-CWT) and improved Block Adaptive quantization (BAQ) is proposed. The DT-CWT has approximate shift-invariant and good directional selectivity. The improved BAQ rebuild data keeps the saturation signal. We apply DT-CWT to fractional saturation SAR raw data. The result put into improved BAQ quantizer. Experiment shows this method has a high compression rate and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR).
