THE PEDRO PAULET'S LIQUID PROPELLANT ROCKET ENGINE INVENTION: FIRST STEP IN THE SPACE ROCKETRY

This paper describe the invention of the liquid propellant rocket engine by the Peruvian engineer Pedro Paulet, it the first rocket motor of this kind that ran on our planet in 1897, becoming the first step of space rocketry. We explain his liquid propellant rocket engine, the process of invention followed by Paulet, and the originality of this process which was very different from the fathers of astronautics Tsiolkovsky, Goddard and Oberth, because Paulet employed liquid explosives.
