摘要

The aeration sand filling- high pressure squeeze molding method is a new green sand molding technology, which consists of two processes: the aeration filling process and the subsequent high pressure squeezing process. In this method, low pressure compressed air is used for aeration sand filling, which has unique advantages, such as less energy consumption, better mold quality, and less pattern wear. To optimize the sand filling process and to improve the quality of green sand mold, it is necessary and important to simulate the molding process with numerical method. In this paper, the mathematical model, parallelization of the computational procedure, some cases of 3D numerical simulation and the correlative benchmark testing are reported in details.
