The paper focuses on the numerical analysis of unsteady flow effects in a partial addmitance turbine working in conjunction with pulse combustion chambers. The analysis focuses on the operational effects caused by unsteady flow in the turbomachinary components, such as pulse combustion chamber and turbine. First a thermodynamic analysis is used to estimate the operational parameters of the engines, then a one-dimensional model is used to determine the geometry of the combustion chamber and port timings; finally multi-dimensional analysis models are employed to predict the flow characteristics inside the combustion chamber channels and in the high pressure turbine.
