摘要

The present paper focuses on the use of "Zonal Immersed Boundary Conditions" (ZIBC) with the ability of Zonal Detached Eddy Simulation (ZDES) to take into account a control device in a form of a short cylindrical serrated skirt on a simplified space launcher afterbody. Numerical simulation is performed at a Reynolds number of 1.2 × 10~6 and a free stream Mach number of 0.702. The instantaneous flow field shows that the effect of the skirt is properly reproduced. The statistical properties of the flow and the analysis of the spectral content illustrate a very good agreement between the experiment and the numerical simulation. Finally, the influence of the serrated skirt on the dynamics and the topology of the axisymmetric separating/reattaching flow is investigated.
