Global demographic forecasts over the next half century emphasize a critical need to continue to make continual technological adjustments in the workplace. Organizations must reeducate and retrain older workers to be productive with today's technologies. Value added and necessary steps in a process flow may require a few additional steps to insure quality. Organizations must be equipped to manage a more diverse and aging workforce. Automation, machine vision systems and workplace ergonomics will experience growth as we must reduce and simplify the level of human labor input for all ages. Costs will increase but we have no other choice!
