Nanocrystalline and slightly agglomerated particles of ferromagnetic compounds with spinel Fe3O4 and perovskite La1−xSrxMnO3 structure have been synthesized by co-precipitation from nonaqueous solutions. Magnetic properties of the synthesized nanoparticles have been investigated. It was found that the obtained nanoparticles exhibit superparamagnetic behavior. Developed magnetic fluids based on synthesized nanoparticles have shown promise in hyperthermic cancer therapy, both in vitro and in vivo.
