Beside noise of airborne aircraft as a primarynoise source at airports, ground operations,such as taxiing, have contributing and nonnegligibleimpacts on airport noise levels. Toaddress this issue amid growing environmentalawareness, the deployment of electromobility atairports is planned to be extended. One suchelectrical mobility device is a dispatch towingvehicle called TaxiBot, which was first tested atFrankfurt International Airport in 2014. Thispaper aims to quantify noise reductions ofdispatch-towed aircraft in comparison withconventional taxiing operations. It derives anew measurement method from existing andcomparable standards, describes themeasurement procedure, and presents theresults. Finally, a conclusion and outlook isgiven.
