BigDataDB: A Database System for Managing Big Data Transfers

摘要

There are many complexities to configuring, initiating, monitoring, and managing Big Data transfers. Big Data files are inherently large in both size and number, which complicates the transfer process and poses a great difficulty for everyday users. This paper presents a database system that can be utilized to store information about all aspects of Big Data transfers, including security concerns. The database system is designed to be flexible and support multiple, concurrent transfers between numerous servers for many users.
