Realization of the triple points of the international temperature scale of 1990 below 84k at the national research council of canada

In the temperature region from 13.8 K to 83.8 K, the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) defines a set of thermodynamic fixed points which are used to calibrate an interpolating instrument which then carries the scale for use in the laboratory. The NRC realization of this portion of the ITS-90 will be discussed, with particular attention paid to the cryostat design and the quality of the triple point measurements.
