Even though Fossil Fuels will continue to dominate the total primary energy mix well into the future, it is becoming increasingly clear that other resources such as biomass needs to be exploited to meet future energy demands. The term, Biomass is generally defined as a renewable energy source such as wood waste and alcohol fuels. It is commonly plant matter grown to generate electricity and produce heat. It can include dead trees, branches, stumps, yard waste, switch grass, hemp, corn stover, sorghum and sugarcane.
