Predictive direct power control of doubly fed induction generator with power ripples reduction and one step delay compensation for wind power generation
Nowadays flexible power regulation is very important for doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind turbines to improve power quality and enhance grid stability. This paper proposes an improved predictive direct power control (PDPC) strategy of DFIG to reduce power ripples at low constant switching frequency. Furthermore, the control system is simplified while the robustness of classic direct power control (CDPC) is maintained at the most. Finally, the influence of one-step delay is investigated and eliminated by a model-based prediction.
