Air conditioners using heat pump technology are widely used all over the world and required to improve efficiency for global warming countermeasures.They consume a lot of power in motors and inverters for driving compressors and fans.Therefore, we developed high efficiency motors and inverters of our air conditioners.This paper describes recent motor and inverter technologies for air conditioner application of Mitsubishi Electric.
