This work presents an approach to the design of a medium power boost converter (less than 300 W) dedicated to photovoltaic systems. The converter is designed to adapt the voltage of the solar panel to a stable voltage output to recharge a batteries. The control of the converter is of the digital type, using a ATMEGA microcontroller. Two control algorithms are studied in this paper: The first uses two control loops which are the voltage and current supplied by the photovoltaic panel (PV), an image of the input power Pe. This algorithm is designed to follow the point at Maximum power point(MPPT) of the characteristic P (V) of the panel. The second is a PI regulator designed to set the output voltage at 48V.
