摘要

Wireless sensor networks are sometimes used for delay sensitive applications such that health monitoring and forest fire detection applications. In such applications, gathering sensory data does not consider only energy issues but also timeliness constraints because much delay can cause big damages. In this paper we make a tradeoff between energy conservation with the use of the well-known mobile sink technique and the respect of delay requirement. We formulate a new optimization problem using linear programming and perform many computational experiments on it.
