This paper presents IDEFIX, a new component of the CNES Multi-mission Network for ingesting, processing and distribution of X-Band payload telemetry data. The IDEFIX system is based on CCSDS standards (telemetry formats). Its innovation lies in its multi-mission features, its autonomy and scalability and its automation (detection of telemetry to be processed, for instance). It can manage multiple mission configurations, and is able to apply the expected data processing. Moreover, it is designed around a generic telemetry processing application developed by CNES, and already operational for some missions (JASON2 and SARAL). The first phase of integration and qualification with the X-Band ground stations (Kiruna, Inuvik) is scheduled between May 2014 and October 2014. The system will be validated and enter operations with the in-flight SARAL mission ahead of the TARANIS mission due to launch in late 2016.
