Operating the ChemCam Instrument From Two Operations Centers

A joint French-US collaboration, the ChemCam instrument aboard the MSL/Curiosity rover offers unique challenges in its operations. This paper describes the instrument and its observation technique and how it is applied to operations on Mars. The two operations centers and their alternating schedules are described, and shared software tools are demonstrated.
