We introduce a dual-luminescent imaging to capture time-resolved temperature maps of water boiling process. It uses two luminescent probes; one is sensitive to the temperature and the other is insensitive to the temperature. The luminescent images from these probes are simultaneously captured by a high-speed color camera. By simply taking a ratio of the two luminescent images, we can extract the time-resolved temperature information of a target object. With a laser sheet illumination, time-resolved 2-D profiles of the boiling processes can be visualized and quantified to the temperature values by the dual-luminescent imaging.
