A variable pitch wind turbine generator with connecting grid is adopted for obtaining high electric generation efficiency. Because the control performance of pitch angle can heavily influence the quality of power regulation, an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller using feedback linearization is proposed for variable wind turbine generator in the paper. The control law of slide mode is deduced and stability is proved. By using fuzzy logic to estimate the uncertainty model in control law, the problem of a deterministic math model is avoided and insensitive performance to modeling uncertainty and external disturbance is achieved. Simulation results prove the effectiveness of proposed control strategy. System can eliminate the wind speed disturbance and provide good transient and robust performance.
