The Italian contribution to radar is little knows due to scarce and sometimes imprecise literature. This paper aims to cover naval and coastal radar developments in Italy from the beginning (1935) to the halt due to the Armistice of September 8, 1943, mostly due to Ugo Tiberio and Nello Carrara.
