The dynamic topology of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks and QoS requirements of different traffic classes pose special challenges to the routing algorithm design. In this paper, a priority-based distributed dynamic multipath routing algorithm (DDMR) is proposed. In the algorithm, routing decisions are made locally based on the neighbor information without the centralized information of the entire network, which shows its good distributed nature. For the forwarding of the packet, the forward probability of downstream nodes will be changed dynamically based on the priority of the packet and network conditions. Results from simulations show that DDMR outperforms the existing algorithms in terms of end-to-end delay and packet loss probability, and DDMR algorithm is more suitable for long distance communication.
