Timetabling problem is a very common problem, found in many education related fields. This paper proposes a model to solve the problem of university timetabling at the Computers and Information Technology Department of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Oradea, Romania. A customized constraints satisfaction model is used to obtain solutions to the proposed problem. Using the proposed model, it is possible to make classroom use more efficient by improving the allocation of class hours in the department.
