Terahertz dielectric properties of KTaO_3 crystal: electric-field tunability, comparison with SrTiO_3

摘要

We used time-domain THz spectroscopy to study the dielectric properties of a KTaO_3 crystal upon applied electric field at temperatures from 40 to 250 K. Tunable ferroelectrics are promising for the control of THz radiation and their study enables deeper understanding of structural instabilities close to phase transition.
