An Analysis of Tweets During the 2018 Osaka North Earthquake in Japan -A Brief Report

To minimize damage in the event of large-scale disasters, it is important to collect and distribute information quickly and accurately. Therefore, the use of Twitter during disasters has received much attention worldwide. In this study, we analyze the tweets posted during the 2018 Osaka North Earthquake. With its seismic center in the northern part of Osaka Prefecture, Japan, this huge earthquake occurred on June 18, 2018. We report the analysis of the number of tweets, the trends in the use of hashtags, and the trends in the use of emojis.
