In conclusion, it should be noted that the question of international legal regulation of space debris removal operations, in turn, is a part of a wider range of issues - issues of international legal basis ensuring safety and security and sustainable development of outer space activities. The challenging issues in regards to safety and security, and long-term sustainability of outer space activities, that have a direct impact on the space debris removal, are: - implementation and further drafting of Guidelines for the Long-Term Sustainability of Outer Space Activities.
