Interference detection on powerline communications channel when in-building wiring system acts as an antenna

One of the most harsh and challenging channels in the telecommunications field is the powerline communications channel (PLC). Several investigations have been conducted to illustrate and/or reduce interference effects over PLC where noise plays a major role in this type of communications channel. The in-building wiring system acts as a receiving antenna which subsequently conducts interference into the powerline communications channel. This interference is investigated and several experimental measurements were conducted when the power is on and when it's off, and results are presented.
