Natural gas generated by in situ pyrolysis can be used for process heat and/or electric power generation. If insufficient gas is generated, cheap gas can be sourced in the Piceance Basin. The possibility of separating and selling natural gas liquids should not be ignored. Propane, butane and pentane are valuable commodities. There is no market for ethane today. High concentrations of acid gas might be a problem.
