These results demonstrate that PDMS architecture, upon incorporation into PCL-based scaffolds, changes the resulting properties. These changes are attributed to changes to crosslink density and scaffold crystallinity. To establish bioactivity, future studies are being conducted observing the possible formation of hydroxyapatite on the PDMS-PCL scaffolds when subjected to simulated body fluid (SBF).
