摘要

This study provides new insights into the way the innate immune system responds to degradable PEG hydrogels with or without adhesive ligands. With a greater understanding of the way in which the immune system interacts with biomaterial components, we can move toward immunologically smart materials that work with the immune system to effect tissue healing rather than stimulating inflammation and foreign body responses.
