Immunomodulatory Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide Amphiphile Micelles

We have formulated two different VIP amphiphile and tested their functionality on two kinds of antigen presenting cells, MΦs and DCs. VIPA* suppresses the pro-inflammatory behavior of activated MΦs and DCs while VIPA^ induces CCL22 production from both immature and mature DCs. This study of different VIP amphiphiles is a starting point of generating a pool of VIP amphiphiles with different structures yielding unique bioactivity. By investigating different VIP amphiphiles and uncovering their different immunomodulatory capacity, we aim to create a tool box of VIP amphiphiles for the potential treatment of a variety of immune-mediated disorders.
