The timing is crucial for adequate blood perfusion of an artificial subcutaneous site for islet transplantation

摘要

The study demonstrates that the optimal timing of PIs Tx can improve the efficiency of PIs engraftment. Here we report that the optimal timing of PIs Tx into the subcutaneous cavity can considerably improve the PIs engraftment in comparison to reported studies. The healing process improving the vascular density in tissue surrounding the artificial cavity can be restarted even after 3 months since scaffold implantation.
