Modeling and Fault Diagnosis of Aero-engine Lubricating Oil System

The faults of lubricating oil system will directly affect the safety and reliability of aero-engine, thus online health monitoring and fault diagnosis are important to the lubricating oil system. Aiming at a certain type of a civil aero-engine, the lubricating oil system simulation model is established in MATLAB/Simulink. And the simulation model is optimized and its accuracy is verified using the aero-engine test data. The relative errors of important measured parameters are less than 3%. Based on the analysis and simulation of the influence of typical faults on the measured parameters, the online fault diagnosis system for the lubricating oil system is built utilizing the parameter trend analysis method. Then a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation platform of the lubricating oil system diagnostic is constructed. The results show that the simulation models and the fault diagnosis algorithm are effective and robustness, and have some engineering application value.
