Scour and SHM on the Frontera Bridge

Scour occurs all over the world. Affecting the integrity of a bridge, scour must bemonitored using up-to-date methods. One method of monitoring scour is being implementedin Mexico on the Frontera Bridge, which shows advanced deterioration. The system, developedby Advitam, monitors the phenomenon 24/7 and alerts the owner if thresholds are reachedthat could cause potential failure. We will discuss the concept, uses and technicalspecifications of the monitoring system and its implementation.
