This paper is concerned with the experimental determination of stability boundaries for fluidized bed spray granulation processes with external product classification. In order to cope with the problems of an implementation on the real plant a closed loop strategy consisting of a simple tuning controller, a closed loop identification procedure and a step size control algorithm is proposed.
